Article 1 (Purpose)
This Privacy Policy is established and disclosed to protect the personal information of members (hereinafter “Users”) who use the web novel platform service (hereinafter “Service”) operated by the GoroCat Team (hereinafter “Company”), and to resolve any related grievances swiftly and smoothly.

Article 2 (Purpose of Processing Personal Information)
The Company processes the minimum necessary personal information for the following purposes. The personal information processed will not be used for any purpose other than the following, and if the purpose of use changes, necessary measures such as obtaining separate consent will be implemented.
• Membership Registration and Management: Confirmation of intent to register, user identification and authentication, maintenance and management of membership qualifications, prevention of unauthorized use, and various notices/notifications.
• Service Provision and Payment: Provision of web novel contents, identity verification for paid services, purchase and payment processing, content delivery, and settlement.
• Customer Service: Processing user inquiries, grievance resolution, and service improvement.

Article 3 (Items of Personal Information Processed)
The Company collects and processes the following personal information items to provide the Service.
• Required Items: User ID, Password, Email address, Nickname, Identity verification values (CI/DI – processed during identity confirmation and adult verification for ages 19 and over).
• Items Collected During Payment: Credit card information, bank account details, mobile payment information, etc. (※ This information is securely processed through the secure payment gateway of the Payment Gateway (PG) company, and the Company does not store it directly.)
• Automatically Collected Items: Service usage records, access logs, cookies, and access IP information.

Article 4 (Processing and Retention Period of Personal Information)
The Company processes and retains personal information within the personal information retention and use period stipulated by laws or agreed upon by the User at the time of collection. Each processing and retention period is as follows:
• Membership Registration and Management: Until membership withdrawal (However, if an investigation or inquiry due to violation of relevant laws is ongoing, until the end of the respective investigation or inquiry).
• Records on Contracts, Withdrawal of Subscriptions, Payments, and Supply of Goods: 5 Years (Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.)
• Website Visit Records (Logs): 3 Months (Protection of Communications Secrets Act).

Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)
The Company processes Users’ personal information only within the scope specified in Article 2. The Company provides personal information to third parties only under Articles 17 and 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act, such as when the User’s consent is obtained or special provisions exist in laws.

Article 6 (Entrustment of Personal Information Processing)
For smooth processing of personal information, the Company entrusts personal information processing duties as follows, and regulates and supervises necessary matters to ensure secure data management during entrustment contracts:
• Entrusted Entity (Trustee) / Consigned Duties: Toss Payments Co., Ltd. / Provision of payment gateway (PG) and identity verification services.

Article 7 (Rights and Obligations of Users and Method of Exercise)
Users can exercise their rights against the Company at any time, such as requesting access to, correction of, deletion of, or suspension of processing of their personal information, and may withdraw their consent to personal information use through membership termination.

Article 8 (Destruction of Personal Information)
The Company destroys personal information without delay when it becomes unnecessary, such as upon the expiration of the retention period or achievement of the processing purpose. Information in electronic file formats is destroyed using technical methods that render the records unregenerable.

Article 9 (Measures to Ensure Safety of Personal Information)
To ensure the safety of personal information, the Company takes managerial measures (establishment and implementation of internal management plans) and technical measures (access authority management for personal information processing systems, encryption of passwords, installation of security programs, and implementation of SSL certificates).

Article 11 (Amendment to Privacy Policy)
This Privacy Policy is effective from the enforcement date. Any additions, deletions, or corrections of modifications according to relevant laws and policies will be notified through notice announcements 7 days prior to the enforcement of the changes.
